When to choose it
Choose the D32 if you want a chisel face between Hakko’s 2.4 mm D24 and 5 mm D5. The 3.2 mm face gives you a middle option when comparing how much of a seam the tool can contact. That matters if your existing wide tip reaches beyond the area you want to work on.
Check the iron’s compatible family before changing face width. The D32 is a T19 part for models such as the FX-601. If the iron accepts a different tip system, search for a documented option in that system with the face size you need.
